The Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) is an undergraduate degree programme in the medical field. A person holding the MBBS degree becomes a certified medical practitioner. It takes 5.5 years for the completion of the degree including one year of rotational internship at hospitals, health centres, and health camps organised by non-profit organisations. MBBS course includes the study of human anatomy, human cytology, medicine, chemistry, pharmaceutical, chemistry, drugs formulation & effect and method of surgery.
