What is COMEDK UGET?

COMEDK UGET is a common entrance test held at the national level for admission to around 190 unaided private engineering colleges in Karnataka. COMEDK is the Consortium of Medical, Engineering and Dental Colleges of Karnataka that conducts UGET. It is an autonomous body that is entrusted with the responsibility to organize UGET. The undergraduate entrance test (UGET) is a computer-based test for admission to BE/BTech courses. This test is open to all eligible students in the country. Seats in the colleges are allotted based on COMEDK UGET scores via an online counselling process.

COMEDK UGET 2022 Counselling

COMEDK UGET counselling 2022 will be conducted by the Consortium of Medical, Engineering and Dental Colleges of Karnataka (COMEDK). Admission to the engineering, architecture and medical colleges in Karnataka shall be made through COMEDK UGET, NATA and NEET scores respectively. Candidates who will clear COMEDK UGET 2022 will be able to participate in the COMEDK counselling/document verification for the allocation of seats in their choice of college and course. COMEDK UGET 2022 seat allotment is done based on the candidate’s rank, preferences and seat availability.

COMEDK UGET 2022 Eligibility Criteria

Note that COMEDK does not conduct entrance test for BArch admission. However, it conducts counselling based on NATA score for admission to the BArch course. Check the eligibility for BTech and BArch admission below:

COMEDK UGET 2022 Admission Process

The admission process via COMEDK UGET is as follows:

  1. Apply for COMEDK UGET 2022
  2. Download the admit card for exam
  3. Appear for COMEDK UGET CBT
  4. Check the score and download the rank card
  5. Attend counselling as per schedule

COMEDK UGET 2022 Exam Pattern

Check the exam pattern of COMEDK UGET below:

  • Mode: COMEDK is a Computer based test
  • Exam language: Medium of Examination will be ENGLISH Only
  • Marking scheme: Each correct answer will be awarded 1 mark. There will be no negative marking for wrong answers. However, in the event of a tie in the test score the principle of least negative responses (Number of wrong answers) will be adopted. In addition, if required, other methods may be adopted to break ties.

COMEDK 2022 Syllabus

COMEDK has not mentioned any specific syllabus. However, they have mentioned that the entrance test is based on the current 11th and 12th syllabus of CBSE.

Therefore candidates have to prepare for Physics, Chemistry and Maths based on their class 11 and 12 syllabus.

COMEDK 2022 Exam Centre

COMEDK 2022 will be held across the following cities in CBT mode. The test cities are allotted to candidates on a first come first serve basis. A candidate can choose and select 3 cities in order of preference at the time of applying for the exam from the available list of Test Cities in the Online Application form. The allocated centre and session/slot will be communicated on the online Test Admission Ticket (the admit card).

COMEDK 2022 Application Form

The application form of COMEDK UGET is made available only on the official website. The steps to apply for the exam are as follows:

  1. Fill in candidate details in the registration form
  2. Generate and validate OTP for the registered mobile number
  3. Click on register and complete the candidate registration
  4. Receive SMS & E-mail with User ID/App no and Password
  5. Logout and Login again using User ID & Password
  6. Click on ‘Go to application’
  7. Select the exam that you are applying for
  8. Enter personal details
  9. Fill in category details
  10. Fill in academic details and upload documents in the prescribed format and size as mentioned in the information brochure
  11. Fill in the examination city preferences and select payment details
  12. Verify all details in the “Preview” Page
  13. Click on “Submit ” and complete payment.
  14. Check successful application status by logging in again
  15. Take a printout of the application (for your reference only)

Application fee of COMEDK:  INR 1,800/- plus convenience fee/charges to be remitted through payment gateway provided using a credit card or a debit card or Net banking.
